8AM. Inner road leading to Virgen de la Regla Church
Inner Road. PUJs and Private cars may turn left at the corner (at the 2nd Electric) to get to the main Opon-Mercado (Public Market), leading back to the National Road going to Pusok,Mepz1 and Airport.
A Multicab-PUJ and a private car met fender-to-fender at the crossroads. One of the woes of the traffic re-routing scheme.
Previously “for-private-cars-only street”, the new traffic scheme at Opon-Mercado allowed PUJs to use this street with private cars, counter-flowing pushcarts, sidewalk-vendors and ant-like crowd especially during peak hours. Road rage is always brewing whenever ….. Avoid this road if you can for a stress-free driving and scratch-free car …

- Opon Mercado to Cebu (v.v.) - Take Metroferry and travel faster at 15mins while enjoying the breeze and a view of the Cebu ports. It docks at the back of Virgen de la Regla Church at Opon (Lapulapu City) and Pier 3 in Cebu. From the gate at Pier 3, you can take a jeepney or taxi to bring you to Colon, Sanciangko, Elizabeth Mall (a walk to South bus terminal) Private or Urgello area. From Opon docking point, you can take a jeepney to Cordova, or MEPZA. Rate Php10.00 + Php1.00 terminal fee.
