Vowel:

a – always pronounced as a short “a”; like, “man”

e – always pronounced as a short “e”; like, “Ted”

i – always pronounced as a short “i”; like, “sit”

o – always pronounced as a long “o”; like, “moon

u – always pronounced as a long “u”; like, “soon”
