The sayers have spoken!
PAGASA forecasts typhoon “AMANG” to hit Cebu, Philippines on 01 February 2011 (a tuesday).
Whooa! After all the heavy downpours causing floods and landslides with casualties and damages to properties since January 01, now comes an “actual” storm!
Great! It is laudable that the Local Government of Cebu together with PAGASA, forewarns the Province of the impending storm and “non-stop” and heavy (and even heavier) downpours starting January 31 (Per SUNSTAR Newspaper).

Already saturated soil, silted rivers, trash-clogged and illegal structures on creeks, high tides, clogged canals (and lack of them in various areas), road potholes …. topped with undisciplined drivers and pedestrians … wow! this sounds a VERY WET and WILD WEEK ahead!
Forewarned, it’s all left to humans now. With the sun braving the clouds today, climbing the roof and clearings can be done ahead of the rains … I mean right NOW!
Comes the storm and probable cancellation of work and classes, I’m chasing my list of homebound tinkering … hmmmm.
Still, I’m crossing my fingers and praying that PAGASA is wrong. Who needs a storm at this point anyway. Too much of anything can be bad (if never good). Except for one or two … lol … nwe.
