While already being an oversized welter, i think he did use his “pegado” plaster in many of his fights, the punches he often landed in the Ko’s were not clean and often either glanced or were partialy blocked, no true lights out k’o power from Cheato, many fighters also winced strangely when knocked down …not a blackout/concusion/ but of extreme Pain. those bodyshots also would feel horrible when against the RIBS not the thudding power of the shots, but the hard unforgiving plaster against bone.
It is a shame he was backed by Arum and top rank, i think they had a lot to do with this as well, for such a paltry fine it is “well worth it” to cheat in such a manner we are talking millions! Cheto probably earned 1-2 million per fight (maybe even more with pay-per-view) and even after his loss to Mosley and a close fight against a C level bum he gets a shot at Paquio? I think he used wraps against these opponents (COTTO,WILLIAMS,CLOTEY,CINTRON 2,kYVELOS, and especialy GOLDEN JOHNSON … damn he needed that golden johnson win! so bad ithink his plaster was hard n ready, he needed that KO to stay relevant in the WELT division, if not he would never had the cotto fight $$$$$. CHETO sux.

If you guys go back and see the fight all the way through even the announcement of the winner you clearly see if you pause it that it is a piece of string from the stitching inside the gloves.
