Pacquiao was a jackhammer!

From Cebu, I flew to Manila to watch the Pacquiao vs. dela Hoya boxing match on pay per view (PPV) in my bro’s house … the day was full of excitement … loud plays of the kids and adult talks echoing … Fundador, ”Boy Bawang” garlic nuts, pork skin crackers dipped in “Pinakurat” vinegar are streaming, tortilla in cheesy and salsa dips … chairs and stools in and out the fully booked living room seats … cooling fan and air conditioner wizzing through the warming air … and yes, the television set strategically placed for all the watchful eyes… and after the long wait …. it was all ready to rumbllllllllleeeeee … bam, bam, bam … teng!!!!

After the one-sided battering rounds …. de la Hoya, with the ugly bruises and mangled face finally lowered his gloves with a devastated ego …. Pacquiao won the match …. one for the books!

Yes, just the same, it was a day one for the books … the family watching one historical boxing match together … just like in the old days …. those days, though years ago, seem like yesterday …

From Cebu, I flew to Manila to watch the Pacquiao vs. dela Hoya boxing match … BUT far more than the fight; far greater than the loud plays and loud talks; far tougher than the Fundador; far tastier than the “Boy Bawang” nuts; the pig’s skin cracker dipped in that spicy “pinakurat” vinegar; the tortilla in cheesy and salsa dips; … beyond the boxing match is a family watching and enjoying the fight TOGETHER just like the old days when daddy and mommy are in their prime … all us five male siblings shouting, mumbling, grumbling, umphing …. that’s just no match against this boxing bout … another page written in the family books …
